What is a Neuropsychological Evaluation?
Neuropsychological evaluations are individualized to address specific presenting problems. These evaluations may include assessment of some or all of the following areas:
- Cognitive Abilities/Intelligence
- Attention/Concentration
- Executive Functioning (Planning Organization, Problem Solving)
- Language Skills
- Memory
- Visual-Spatial, Visual-Motor, & Fine Motor Skills
- Academic Achievement (Reading, Mathematics, & Written Expression)
- Social, Emotional, Behavioral Functioning
- Adaptive & Independent Living Skills
Neuropsychological evaluations may explore the following areas:
- Neurological conditions that may affect cognitive functioning and behavior (e.g., epilepsy, brain tumor, genetic disorders, hydrocephalus, traumatic brain injury, dementia)

- Learning and Memory
